Microgrid is system set up to manage distributed energy sources and may include renewable energy such as solar, wind or hydroelectric power. … along with other non-renewable sources such as: diesel generators, gas turbines… A microgrid is an independent power network, allowing self-generation of electricity on site and use when needed most.

Why Microgrid?

Today, due to market demands and issues related to sustainable development, the development of new energy sources is increasingly diverse, especially renewable energy such as solar power, wind power, and biomass electricity…so there needs to be a solution to connect these energy sources together and optimize the efficiency of each energy source at each specific time.

The demand for energy and the desire for a sustainable future are increasing, so energy storage is extremely necessary.

Decree 80/2024/ND-CP Vietnam regulating the direct electricity trading mechanism between renewable energy producers and large electricity users was issued on July 3, 2024. This Decree takes effect immediately from the date of promulgation.

Thus, today organizations and businesses in all fields urgently need a solution to switch to microgrid and distributed energy sources to bring financial benefits and sustainable development.
