On October 8, 2026, East Sea Energy Environment Company Limited (ESEC) was honored to participate in the 2026 National Mining Science and Technology Conference, held at Lam Dong Aluminum Company (TKV). ESEC showcased technology solutions supporting the digital transformation of the mining industry, with a focus on power system modeling and operational data management.

This year’s conference, themed “Initial Results of Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW in the Mining and Energy Industries and 20 Years of Vietnam’s Bauxite–Alumina–Aluminum Industry,” brought together experts, scientists, regulatory authorities, and businesses to exchange insights on technological innovation and the industry’s development priorities.

The mining industry’s large-scale operations, complex equipment systems, and high energy consumption create increasing demands for reliability, operational efficiency, and resource optimization. At the same time, the transition toward greener operations, driven by ESG requirements and Net Zero targets, alongside the push for science, technology, and innovation under Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, is encouraging businesses to accelerate technology adoption across their production operations.

Against this backdrop, power system modeling and real-time operational data integration are becoming important foundations for the digital transformation of the mining industry. Combining these technologies can enhance operational visibility, optimize energy consumption, support environmental impact management, and enable data-driven operational decisions.

ESEC Connecting Global Technologies with the Digital Transformation Needs of the Mining Industry

At the conference, ESEC demonstrated how power system modeling and operational data utilization can help mining businesses move from fragmented management toward data-driven operations through two key technology platforms: ETAP Digital Twin and AVEVA PI System.

  • ETAP Digital Twin enables power system modeling, simulation, and analysis, allowing engineering teams to evaluate different operating scenarios, strengthen system reliability, and take a more proactive approach to power system management.
  • AVEVA PI System supports real-time operational data collection and management, providing a foundation for performance monitoring, trend analysis, and the identification of operational optimization opportunities.

When integrated with suitable technology platforms, ETAP and AVEVA PI System help connect power system models with real-world operational data, laying the groundwork for greater integration between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). This approach supports the development of smarter operations, enabling businesses to make better use of operational data, strengthen management capabilities, and optimize performance across the mining industry.

At its exhibition booth, ESEC presented technical materials and live demonstrations, giving attendees the opportunity to explore how these technologies can address practical challenges in power system management, data integration, and operational optimization. ESEC’s solution pillars—Digital Power, Digital Energy, and Digital Manufacturing—also attracted interest and discussion among attendees, reflecting the growing importance of digital transformation in the industry.
