East Sea Energy Environment (ESEC) – a pioneer in technology solutions for power infrastructure, energy platforms, automation and digitalization. We have recently completed the project “Active Harmonic Filtering (AHF) and EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert (PME)” for Tata Coffee Vietnam.
Tata Coffee Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a member of Tata Group – the largest multi-industry group in India. Tata Group is also one of the largest growers, preservers, processors and exporters of instant coffee in India. Tata Coffee Vietnam started operating in 2019, a freeze-dried coffee factory with a capacity of 5,000 tons/year, the factory has environmentally friendly technology including a pilot plant model to create mixed products that are calibrated according to customer needs in the most effective way.
East Sea Energy Environment (ESEC) is a Master EcoXpert partner of Schneider Electric, in this role ESEC provides solutions to improve power quality and comprehensive energy management to accompany customers’ sustainable development goals.
For factories operating in production like Tata Coffee, high harmonics are a problem that almost all factories encounter during operation. It damages high-tech electrical equipment, interrupts the production process and causes great economic losses. Therefore, factories need a comprehensive solution to effectively and proactively filter harmonics, as well as a system to help manage and monitor energy throughout the entire operation and production of the factory.
Understanding that need of customers, ESEC has provided the Active Harmonic Filtering and EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert solution for customers Tata Coffee Vietnam. With this project, ESEC designed and installed an active harmonic filtering system; at the same time, designed, installed the system and configured Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert and monitoring software for the factory.
After installation and testing, the system is officially put into operation and brings long-term benefits to the factory’s production activities:
- Actively filter harmonics in the system, ensuring stable and efficient system operation, improving the plant’s operating efficiency.
- The customer’s power quality will comply with IEEE 519 and TCVN standards (Regular 39 & 30 – Vietnam MOIT).
- Minimizing harmonics helps protect equipment in the system and maximize its lifespan.
- Helps the plant effectively and visually manage and monitor equipment operations in the plant, thereby making effective assessments and coordinating operations.
- Reducing peak current helps free up system capacity.
- Limiting current distortion and eliminating harmonic effects.
- Monitoring the entire power system in real time to ensure safety and reliability.
- Easily create reports from raw data to HTML, Excel format for management/reporting purposes.
- Benchmarking between sites to optimize operations.
- Check the health of the electrical system with Power Advisor to reduce downtime.
- The solution contributes significantly to saving energy consumption of the factory, bringing long-term economic efficiency.
Thus, the solution of Active Harmonic Filtering Solution combined with Schneider Electric‘s EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert provides measures to eliminate harmonics, helping customers know the health status of the equipment and help solve most problems of energy management, monitoring and power quality analysis. From there, it helps customers to develop maintenance plans suitable for the system status, minimize operational risks, help save energy consumption, and bring long-term economic efficiency.
ESEC is proud to be one of the few EcoXpert partners with Master-Level of Schneider Electric on global, we have successfully implemented many projects on improving power quality and monitoring, energy management … ESEC is also honored to receive many prestigious awards from Schneider Electric, which helps us become stronger and more confident in the journey of bringing sustainable development solutions to the Vietnamese market.
